Pruf Cultivar Director of Production Science Jeremy Plumb to Deliver Cannabis Conference Keynote Address

The international cannabis researcher and policy advisor will lead dozens of cannabis industry leaders who will speak at this third-annual event for plant-touching cannabis businesses.

CLEVELAND, OH (NOVEMBER 27, 2018) — Cannabis Conference, the leading North American cultivation and dispensary education event produced by the award-winning Cannabis Business Times and Cannabis Dispensary magazines, has announced Jeremy Plumb as a Keynote Speaker for its third-annual conference to be held April 1-3, 2019, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

As the Director of Production Science at Pruf Cultivar, one of the most technologically advanced cannabis cultivation facilities in North America, Plumb leads Pruf’s R&D projects and “is most passionate about the cultivation environment’s impact on a cultivar’s cannabinoid and terpene profile (aka phytochemistry),” as Cannabis Business Times reported in its November 2018 issue cover story

Prior to his leadership at Pruf, Plumb was a co-founder of Farma, recently acclaimed by Rolling Stone as one of Oregon’s top dispensaries. Plumb has served as a cannabis consultant to Israeli medical cannabis researchers and as a cannabis policy adviser for members of the U.S. Congress. He also serves on the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Control Commission’s rule-making advisory committee. In 2015, Plumb co-founded Cultivation Classic, Oregon’s leading craft cannabis competition. He serves on the technical advisory committee of the Resource Innovation Institute and is a co-founder of the Open Cannabis Project.

“With decades of cannabis horticulture experience and pioneering approach to phytochemistry, patient care and consumer relationships with cannabis, we can think of no better person to educate and inspire this year’s attendees,” says Noelle Skodzinski, editorial director of Cannabis Conference. “Plumb and our other industry-leading speakers will challenge cultivation business and dispensary teams to think creatively and strategically about their businesses and the industry.”

Cannabis Conference will expand upon the success of previous events’ cultivation education and will include for the first time a dispensary track for retail/dispensary businesses and employees. The conference will feature in-depth educational programming on cannabis cultivation and business operations, as well as the most informed industry perspectives on retail management and customer and patient engagement. The Cannabis Conference exhibition hall will feature cutting-edge technologies, solutions and services for the professional cannabis cultivator and retail businesses.
