Florida Voters Approve Amendment to Restore Right to Vote for Felons Who Have Served Their Time

More than 1 million previously convicted felons have had their right to vote restored in Florida.

More than 1 million previously convicted felons have had their right to vote restored in Florida.

Voters passed an initiative on Tuesday's ballot that renewed voting rights to the majority of felons who have completed their sentences, including probation and restitution, according to an ABC News projection. Those who committed sexual offenses or murder are excluded from having their ability to vote restored.

Amendment 4 required 60 percent approval to pass.
