Gush Mints (Kush Mints x F1 Durb x Gushers)

Plant Physiology: Gush Mints is a large plant with a big stretch. This cultivar exhibits a high level of hybrid vigor, so cultivators can expect rapid growth during the vegetative cycle. When in flower, Gush Mints grows huge, spear-like colas with tight internodal spacing and a high flower-to-leaf ratio for easy trimming. It produces dense, heavy flowers that need to be supported later in flower. Close to maturation, the flowers fade to a dark purple with bright orange pistils, creating a visually appealing contrast.

The trichome heads have a gritty and sandy quality when broken off the stalk, versus a wet or tacky quality when extracted. These traits affect the quality and yield of resin, and Gush Mints is a big yielder in hash and in rosin. The extract itself is very gassy and yields exceptionally high-quality hash for a plant with this terpene profile.

Average Yield: Gush Mints is an exceptionally high-yielding cultivar. Indoor growers can yield as much as 4.5 pounds per grow light and more than 100 grams per square foot in greenhouses. The dry flower weight of outdoor plants has been recorded to weigh as much as 10 to 15 pounds per plant.

Flowering Time: Gush Mints is a 70-day variety, but can be pulled as early as 65 days without loss of quality. Due to a high level of hybrid vigor, it continues to throw new pistillate growth late into flower. Gush Mints will keep pushing past 80 days with heavy feeding, but the yield and terpene profile will not increase or deepen in richness past 75 days.

Environmental Conditions: Gush Mints performs well in light deprivation greenhouses, mixed-light greenhouses, full season outdoors (spring to fall in California) and indoor cultivation. It is optimized for all growing situations. Gush Mints has shown mold and mildew resistance and in hotter temperatures tends to take longer to mature than in colder, more ideal environments. This variety expresses purple coloration in most environments, but the violet hue is most pronounced if cooler temperatures are maintained during the second half of the flowering cycle. As with any cultivar, full terpene expression and flower quality is also enhanced with lower temperatures during the last two to three weeks before harvest.

Recommended Input Conditions: Gush Mints is a vigorous and hardy plant that, once dialed in to a hydroponic system, handles high fertilizer strength and generative crop steering well in flower. Due to its adaptability and vigor, Gush Mints performs equally well in hybrid and fully organic systems.

Integrated Pest Management Notes: Gush Mints is a hearty plant that does not seem to be a magnet for pests. Even if it does get pests, Its vigor tends to allow it to thrive. Gush Mints has shown good disease resistance and is a favorite of cultivators in cooler climates where molds and mildews are a constant threat.

Cannabinoid Profile: THCA: 27.47% Minor cannabinoids include CBGA.

Terpene Profile: Gush Mints has a creamy gas, new tennis ball and epoxy terp with elements of sweet candy, earth, mint and pine kush flavors. There are also hints of rubber and pancakes.

Reported Effects: Consumers have reported strong effects that are relaxing but not always sleep-inducing. Reported effects also include a mix of mental clarity and energy and a relaxing body high.
