The Armored Group Revitalizes 100-Year Old Cash-in-Transit Armored Vehicle Industry

The Armored Group has announced that they are now manufacturing new Cash-in-Transit vehicles used by the cannabis industry.

Phoenix, AZ – The Armored Group, LLC (TAG) has announced that they are now manufacturing new Cash-in-Transit (CIT) vehicles used by the cannabis industry. These vehicles utilize a variation of the company’s existing Cash-in-Transit vehicles that meet the unique operational needs of the cannabis industry. The Armored Group started manufacturing these vehicles to meet a growing market demand for armored vehicles to securely transport wholesale products to dispensaries, pick up cash and deliver it to the Federal Reserve, bank or cash processing vault by armored courier service provider.

“It is important to identify industries that need armored vehicles and aren’t sure where to go to get the security they need to transport valuables, cash, coin and other liability.  The growing cannabis industry was one of those markets transporting valuable product and cash. The Armored Group saw this need and developed a vehicle perfect for this industry,” said Robert Pazderka, Founder and President of The Armored Group. “The vehicle is purposely non-descript retaining the OEM exterior with a safety cell within the “shell” of the vehicle. It also features critical items like infrared cameras inside and out, built-in safes, GPS, satellite phones and light shutoff switches as an extra precaution.”

The move into this segment has revitalized the cash-in-transit (CIT) industry. The earliest CIT modes of guarded transportation were stagecoaches which were mechanized around 1910. Around 2000, there was a massive corporate consolidation of CIT service providers operating within the most populous regions.  Today, more and more independent operators are entering the market again, giving he armored vehicle manufacturing industry a renewed revenue stream enabling more people to secure jobs, markets and territories in this growing industry.
