ANNA -- Nearly a dozen local contractors who helped build a multimillion dollar medical marijuana facility just outside Anna, have yet to be paid for their work.
Many are considering legal action against the company which hired them. Work on the marijuana cultivation center, operated by Wellness Group Pharms, was completed months ago.
"We expected to be paid. No one wants to lose a couple hundred thousand dollars," said Merrilee Terry, an officer manager for A & K Specialty Contractors in Marion. A & K helped build the exterior of the cultivation center.
