Four Corners Montana Marijuana Dispensary Under DEA Investigation

A search warrant filed in Gallatin County last month suggests a Four Corners medical marijuana dispensary raided by federal agents last week is under investigation for distributing drugs outside Montana.

In an April 25 application seeking a warrant for a body wire for a confidential informant, a Missouri River Drug Task Force detective wrote that Montana Buds was suspected of distributing “large quantities” of marijuana outside the state.

The application said the business is also suspected of distributing “larger amounts” of marijuana to people than allowed under Montana law, citing multiple confidential informants.

On May 18, Montana Buds, owned by Chuck Campbell, was raided by Drug Enforcement Agency agents at its location at 160 Zoot Way in Four Corners. Agents, some wearing hazardous materials suits and masks, took items out of the business and put them in a nearby U-Haul truck.

Reached by phone that day, a DEA spokesman and Missouri River Drug Task Force Commander Jake Wagner both declined to comment on the raid.
