[PRESS RELEASE] – GREENVILLE, Texas, Nov. 5, 2026 – SPR, part of Armando Álvarez Group, officially inaugurated its Greenville, Texas, manufacturing facility on Nov. 4, marking a new stage in the company’s long-term development in the United States and bringing agricultural film production closer to the American market.

The approximately 103,000-square-foot facility represents an investment of US$100 million. The site is SPR’s first U.S. manufacturing facility dedicated specifically to agricultural solutions.

The facility will manufacture mulch film, greenhouse cover film, silage film and agricultural stretch film. Local production allows SPR to apply more than 70 years of experience in agricultural solutions closer to the market, while adapting manufacturing to different crops, applications and customer requirements.

“Greenville allows us to bring more than 70 years of experience in agricultural solutions to the North American market, with local production and the ability to adapt manufacturing to the needs of each crop and application. Being closer to the market helps us respond more quickly and continue putting that knowledge at the service of our customers,” said José Manuel Petrement, Business Director, Agricultural & Geosynthetics Division at Armando Álvarez Group.

Production lines are being brought into operation progressively. Once fully operational, the facility will include six production lines and reach an annual capacity of approximately 46.3 million pounds.

The Greenville site builds on a journey that began in Texas in 2014. Since then, SPR has expanded its presence in the U.S. market, developed closer relationships with customers and gained a deeper understanding of local needs.

“We came to the United States in 2014, and over the years we have learned that being present in a market is not the same as being part of it,” SPR President Pepe Álvarez said. “Greenville represents the next step in that journey: building a facility from the ground up, manufacturing here and continuing to grow alongside our customers and American agriculture.”

SPR Greenville complements the company’s existing facility in Rockwall, Texas, which is focused on industrial applications. Together, the two sites give SPR a broader manufacturing base in the United States, with clearly differentiated capabilities for industrial and agricultural markets.
