Montana’s adult-use cannabis sales increased in February compared to sales in January, when adult-use sales launched.
The state’s adult-use dispensaries sold roughly $13 million in product from Jan. 31 through Feb. 27, according to an AP News report.
From Jan. 1 through Jan. 30, the first 30 days of adult-use sales, retailers sold roughly $12.8 million in product, the news outlet reported.

The state’s medical cannabis sales declined from $9.7 million in January to $9.2 million in February, according to AP News.
Montana’s 20% tax on adult-use cannabis sales has generated about $5.1 million in revenue this year, the news outlet reported, while the 4% tax on medical sales has brought in over $757,000.
Adult-use cannabis sales are on track to reach $150 million this year, according to AP News, which is more than the $130 million projected by state fiscal analysts.
Montana voters approved adult-use cannabis legalization in the November 2020 election.
