Denver-based Clarity Gardens invited Cannabis Business Times to its indoor cultivation facility, which has undergone a complete transformation since the early days of Colorado's cannabis market, to observe and record the team in action and see how changes big and small have improved efficiencies and product quality.
Clarity Gardens operates two- and three-tier flower rooms to maximize space and control costs of production, and the team has implemented multiple changes to optimize and support the vertical production style. Robert Launder, grow manager at Clarity, and Harrison Zukas, director of sales and post production, explain why selecting specific cultivars, automating irrigation in vegetation and reducing veg cycles not only led to space, time and labor savings, but also helps them produce more consistent, higher quality plants. They share tips for how other cultivators can modify their veg and flower practices to utilize more of the plant and create more premium flower.

Watch the first video in the series featuring harvest efficiency tips and the second video with tips to make trellising easier.
