AUGUSTA (WGME) -- The state legislature will vote Monday on whether or not to override Governor Paul LePage’s veto on a recreational marijuana implementation bill.
It will take a two-thirds majority vote in both the House and the Senate to pass the bill.
UPDATE: Maine Lawmakers Vote to Sustain Gov. LePage's Veto of Recreational Marijuana Bill
Lawmakers say the bill would help establish a state licensing system for recreational marijuana, and would set a 10 percent sales tax and an excise tax.
Governor LePage says that he vetoed the bill because he doesn't want state and federal law to conflict.
