The official charged with carrying out the state’s new legal marijuana policy said Wednesday state officials will hit the road to hear from the public so they can draft a policy that reflects “Oregon’s way.”
Rob Patridge, chairman of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, said officials want to hear from government representatives, school leaders and police before the agency writes rules to govern the new cannabis industry.
“My goal is to take the commission across Oregon to create transparency and listen to what Oregonians have to say about how to make this measure work Oregon’s way,” said Patridge, who lives in Medford and also serves as the Klamath County district attorney.
