SOUTH WINDSOR — When it comes to medical marijuana, Connecticut is, by some metrics, a progressive state.
Connecticut is home to six medical marijuana dispensaries and over 9,000 registered patients. Only last month, the state tacked on six additional medical conditions qualifying patients for medicinal cannabis.
U.S. Sen. Christopher S. Murphy, D-Conn., however, said he is fighting to change federal laws that threaten the sustainability of the state’s program.
“There is no doubt that medical marijuana is changing lives,” Murphy said during a tour of Prime Wellness of Connecticut, a South Windsor medical marijuana dispensary, Monday morning.
