Hundreds of people gathered Saturday afternoon for a pro-marijuana rally at Dealey Plaza.
The Dallas Marijuana March, in its second year, was organized by the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Law.
The organization says it supports the legalization of marijuana for “medicinal purposes, responsible adult use, and the production of industrial hemp.”
After protesters marched from the JFK Memorial Plaza to Dealey Plaza, several speakers addressed the crowd.
Speakers included Charlo Greene, a University of Texas at Arlington graduate who drew widespread attention when she quit her job as a TV journalist in Alaska after revealing during a live broadcast that she owns a medical marijuana business.
