New drug-driving laws have now come into force in the UK with a list of illegal and prescribed drugs falling under the new legislation.
Officers can test for drugs like cocaine and cannabis at the roadside with a new “drugalyser” while they can request samples for other illegal substances at a police station.
It’s hoped the new drug driving laws will make it quicker to identify those driving under the influence of drugs and help prosecute offenders.
