SNDL Board Director Abruptly Resigns

Edmonton, Alberta-based cannabis company SNDL Inc. announced Oct. 6 that Carlo Cannell has resigned from its board of directors “effective immediately,” thanking him for his contributions.

One of Canada’s largest vertically integrated operators, SNDL provided no further details in the announcement.

The company appointed Cannell, 63, to its board two years ago in connection with the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding common shares in the capital of Nova Cannabis Inc., noting that Cannell was “a leading practitioner of special situations since the formation of Cannell Capital in 1992.”
