Michigan regulators have issued two additional adult-use cannabis dispensary licenses to businesses in Ann Arbor, according to an MLive.com report.

Greenstone Provisions and Arbors Wellness join Exclusive Brands as the first cannabis retailers licensed to serve the adult-use market when it opens Dec. 1, the news outlet reported.

The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency has also issued cultivation and processing licenses to Exclusive Brands, a cannabis testing facility license to PSI Labs and an event organizer permit to Real Leaf Solutions. There are 69 more license applications pending, and licensing officials expect nearly a dozen adult-use cannabis businesses to be licensed by the new year, according to MLive.com.

The Marijuana Regulatory Agency began accepting adult-use license applications Nov. 1 and announced in mid-November that it would launch recreational sales Dec. 1. Licensed retailers can transfer up to half of their medical cannabis inventory to the adult-use market, as long as it is at least 30 days old. Licensed processors can then begin manufacturing new supply for the adult-use market starting Dec. 1.
