The former KESQ building in Palm Desert is moving forward as the future site of a new West Coast Cannabis Club location, following the planning commission’s approval Nov. 20.
The 28,500-square-foot building at 42650 Melanie Place will be a cannabis catch-all that includes cultivation, manufacturing, distribution and delivery services. The 1,690-square-foot retail space will be allowed under a micro-business caveat.
The commission approved the project to move forward to the city council in a 4-0 vote with Commissioner John Greenwood recusing himself due to potential conflicts. The council will address the item in the coming month with opportunity for public comment. A specific council date has yet to be set. The company now needs to apply for state licenses.
