COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Ballot Board is ready to consider another medical marijuana proposal.
The panel meets Thursday to decide whether the Medicinal Cannabis and Industrial Hemp Amendment aiming toward the November ballot is one issue or two. Board clearance would allow Grassroots Ohio to begin signature-gathering.
The meeting comes a day after leaders in the Ohio House announced plans to pursue medical marijuana legislation. Republican Speaker Cliff Rosenberger called on all campaigns pursuing medical marijuana legalization issues this year to join the legislative process.
