Editor's Note: This would be a landmark victory for the marijuana movement if Mississippi residents are successful in their efforts. I'd love to hear from some Mississippi residents, legislators or marijuana industry constituents on what they think the chances are of this southern state gathering the necessary 100,000 signatures to get this on the ballot for 2016, and then what the chances are for Mississippi residents voting to legalize pot. JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -The momentum may be building in the Magnolia State to legalize marijuana.
This afternoon a petition signing was held at Sneaky Beans on State Street in Jackson.
The event is sponsored by Team Legalize and the Mississippi Alliance for Cannabis.
