EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) — There are now 11 states where marijuana for recreational use is legal. There are 20 people in New Mexico who will have a big say in whether that state becomes the 12th.
In late June, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham established the Cannabis Legalization Working Group. Its 20 members are tasked with looking into the possibility of legalizing marijuana in New Mexico. Dona Ana County Sheriff Kim Stewart is the lone member of law enforcement on the committee.
