San Juan, Puerto Rico - PRESS RELEASE - Knox Medical completed the first delivery of medical cannabis to a patient in the San Juan metro area, becoming the first company on the island to offer patients direct-to-home delivery service.
The patient, 55 year-old San Juan resident Alberto Mora, received the first delivery late last week after the company received final approval from the Puerto Rican Department of Health.
The company is now the first medical cannabis provider on the island to offer patients direct delivery service. With this move, thousands of current and future patients will be able to access Knox’s wide range of THC, CBD and blended products from the comfort of their own homes. An expansion of the service area to cover more communities on the island will occur in the coming months.
“This is a big deal to our patients, many of whom live in isolated areas or struggle with mobility,” said José J. Hidalgo, founder and CEO. “Expanding access to high quality, safe, and consistent medications is at the core of our mission as a company. Deliveries will open up new possibilities to Puerto Ricans living with debilitating medical conditions regardless of where they may live.”
Since launching in January of this year, Knox Medical has served thousands of patients from its wholly owned and operated dispensary on Avenida Roosevelt in San Juan. Patients in the San Juan metro area can now receive the same unrivaled approach to patient care at home. More information on eligibility and service area can be found at knoxmedical.com or by calling +1 (888) 441-KNOX (5669).
Opening dates for future dispensaries in communities around the island will be announced in the coming months.
