Hemp CBD Owner Charged with Drug Trafficking

Police found it was not business as usual at one Alabama CBD store.

An Alabama hemp business owner was arrested on drug trafficking charges.

The Trussville Tribune reports that Moody Police Narcotics Unit found that Patrick A. Leberte Jr., 28, owner of Hemp 205 CBD sold both raw hemp and marijuana to customers.

Police detectives discovered marijuana, weapons and cash while executing a search warrant.

Leberte was booked and released after posting a $22,500 bond. The investigation remains open and may lead to additional charges.
