PORTLAND, Ore. — Edible marijuana products may be available to the recreational market in Oregon months in advance.
Early recreational marijuana sales started in October, but only for flower and clones -- edibles have been off limits for everyone but medical marijuana patients.
Ken Martin, a manager at Foster Buds in SE Portland, said many rec customers come into his store inquiring about edibles.
"Six out of 10 customers come in, at least, if not more, and ask when they can purchase edibles," Martin said.
This week, the Oregon legislature is looking at allowing medical dispensaries to sell low dosage edibles to recreational users months earlier than expected.
