[PRESS RELEASE] – NORTHAMPTON, Mass., July 13, 2026 – Melt-to-Make®, a leader in commercial gummy manufacturing solutions, announced the launch of its patent-pending Prebiotic Fiber Pectin Base, a new, naturally sugar-free formulation designed to help manufacturers meet rising demand for gut-health-focused products while improving production efficiency and consistency.

Designed for food, supplement, cannabis and other functional edible manufacturers, the new gummy base addresses the growing industry challenge of developing next-generation gummies that deliver wellness benefits and clean-label positioning at commercial scale without sacrificing quality.

Research published through the National Institutes of Health indicates that only about 5% of Americans meet recommended dietary fiber intake levels, underscoring a growing consumer shift toward fiber-rich and gut-health-focused products. Melt-to-Make’s new formulation is designed to help brands respond to that demand by simplifying development, reducing formulation hurdles and accelerating speed to market.

The proprietary plant-derived blend combines short-chain fructans (FOS), tapioca fiber and inulin to support microbiome health while maintaining a clean flavor profile without stevia, sugar alcohols or high-intensity sweeteners. The result is a lighter, clearer gummy with consistent setting, stability and reliable performance in commercial-scale production.

"The evolution of this formula reflects where consumer preferences are headed," said Sarah McLaughlin, MS, RD, co-founder of Melt-to-Make. “Manufacturers need reliable solutions that reduce trial and error, improve consistency and help bring products to market faster with predictable outcomes.”

The Prebiotic Fiber Pectin Base also enables brands to meet key labeling thresholds, including "Sugar-Free" claims for servings of 16 grams or less, as well as "Good Source of Fiber" and "Excellent Source of Fiber" claims at qualifying serving sizes.

Manufactured in an FDA-registered facility, the base is vegan, non-GMO, and available in Watermelon, Blueberry, Pineapple, Mango and Unflavored varieties. For large-scale manufacturers and multistate operators, bulk tote options will be available for the unflavored base in 2027.
