Solis Tek has launched its nutrient subsidiary, Zelda Horticulture, and its plant wash, Neutralizer, providing cultivators with access to products made from all-natural and organic ingredients, according to a press release.
Solis Tek, serving cannabis cultivators, is taking its scientific approach to the next level through the creation of Zelda Horticulture. Zelda’s mission is to provide effective nutrients and other products made from all-natural ingredients to help cultivators grow healthier, stronger plants and ultimately increase yield. Zelda now offers two commercial products, Neutralizer and Terpenez, a terpene enhancer, which was released in 2017.
Alan Lien, co-founder of Solis Tek stated, “It is now possible for cultivators to increase yield, protect their crops, enhance their product and ultimately grow healthier plants with products made with organic compounds and all-natural ingredients that are devoid of any banned pesticides, animal by-products, heavy metals, chemicals, or strong odors. These are the types of products that Zelda Horticulture is committed to creating to serve the growing cannabis sector.”
Neutralizer is a plant-derived plant wash made from all-natural ingredients. These ingredients, primarily composed of essential oils, are designated as GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) by the U.S. EPA. They are also vegan compliant. Not just a pest deterrent, Neutralizer is also effective for fungi, molds and a variety of defined agricultural wilts. To prevent and manage pest, fungus and mold infestations, Neutralizer can be incorporated into the grower’s daily or weekly routine. The product can also be used in higher doses to minimize a pest, fungus or mold infestation.
“Cultivators, state regulatory bodies and consumers are beginning to demand that cannabis is grown under safe and healthy conditions,” said Lien. “Unlike other plant washes on the market that may include heavy metals or other harmful ingredients, Neutralizer provides a safe and effective solution to prevent and remediate pests and fungus.”
Today, many growers use chemical-laden IPM (integrated pest management) tools, which can be carcinogenic on their own, or when smoked. Zelda’s Neutralizer offers an effective alternative leveraging all-natural ingredients including essential oils. Neutralizer can be used throughout the grow cycle up until harvest with no effect on yield or quality. It uses bioidentical terpenes found in cannabis and will not cause cross-terpene profile contamination.
“Since its inception, Solis Tek has been scientifically-driven with respect to pioneering lighting solutions," Lien said. "Now, we are applying this same approach to Zelda, developing healthy and effective nutrients, plant washes and other products that cannabis cultivators can rely on to generate significant results.”
Neutralizer will be available at more than 500 hydroponic stores nationwide currently stocking and selling other Solis Tek products, as well as through select e-commerce sites.
