After Gov. Fallin’s announcement last Friday that she would not call a special legislative session to implement medical cannabis regulations after the passage of State Question 788, many are turning to the State Department of Health for answers.

The OSDH reported they have been working diligently to set the framework to support the decision of Oklahoma voters.

“Information for licenses will be available by July 26 on our website,” said Jamie Dukes, OSDH public information officer. Dukes said the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority website (omma.ok.gov) contains the OSDH’s statement, frequently asked questions, the text of the state question, and proposed emergency rules pending the upcoming meeting on July 10th under the direction of OSDH Interim Commissioner Tom Bates.
