The folks behind the Sensible Sandusky marijuana decriminalization group can't legalize marijuana, but they hope to take away all of the penalties for using or selling it.
The group hopes to get a ballot measure to decriminalize marijuana use inside Sandusky's city limits on the ballot for November's general election.
Sandusky's effort is modeled after Sensible Toledo, a ballot measure that decriminalized Toledo's marijuana laws.
Toledo's experience is any guide, getting the measure on the ballot and getting it passed is only part of the challenge. A lawsuit has been filed seeking to toss out Toledo's new pot laws.
