Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Over Subpoenas in Ohio Legalization

A federal judge has dismissed a dispute over subpoenas issued in an investigation into last year's marijuana legalization ballot effort.

The lawsuit, filed by two people identified as John Doe and John Doe Two, asked the court declare the subpoenas broad and a violation of First Amendment and privacy rights.  The judge says she's been told the matter has been settled.  The lawsuit stems from a probe brought by Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted into the signature collection and ballot petition submission of ResponsibleOhio.
