WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, MICH. – Harvest Park, the 130-acre medical marijuana industrial park development in Eaton County, west of Lansing, Michigan, announced that Phase Two is now available for sale to applicants of the Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing program.
Phase One of the modern industrial park, which was announced in November 2017, sold out all 10 lots on 63 acres, opening up the adjacent 67 acres for the next phase of the Windsor Township development.
“We’re thrilled at how quickly Harvest Park is developing,” said Jeff Donahue, managing director of Harvest Park Development, LLC. “Phase One sold out quickly. We expected to open Phase Two sometime within the second quarter of 2018, and the response has far exceeded our expectations. Harvest Park is positioned to become the epicenter of Michigan’s medical marijuana industry. Our hope is that Harvest Park will become one of the most advanced, modern industrial parks in the country, setting the bar for the highest level of quality standards and sustainability in cultivation, processing, testing and secure transportation in the industry.”
Harvest Park selected the Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) to provide water and electricity. Part of that electric supply will include environmentally friendly solar power from two nearby solar installations. The BWL is taking advantage of the development to expand its solar energy program, as recommended by the Citizen Advisory Committee that conducted its long-term Integrated Resource Plan in 2016. The additional solar energy, adjacent to the park, will support the southwest side of the BWL’s service territory. The solar power capacity will complement the existing infrastructure and is expected to be online by 2020.
Phase Two is scheduled to go on sale immediately, with infrastructure development scheduled in tandem with or immediately following the completion of Phase One.
