[PRESS RELEASE] – LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4, 2026 – Planet 13 Holdings Inc., a leading vertically integrated multistate cannabis company, announced that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued federal registrations for all of the company’s state-licensed medical marijuana dispensaries in Florida.
The registrations are part of the DEA’s initial issuance of federal registrations to qualifying state-licensed medical cannabis dispensaries, announced on Oct. 30, 2026. This is the first phase of the federal framework established by the attorney general’s order in April 2026 following the rescheduling of state-licensed medical cannabis to Schedule III under the Controlled Substances Act.
“Receiving DEA registrations across our entire Florida retail network is an important step for our patients and for the company,” Planet 13 co-CEO Robert Groesbeck said. “Federal recognition of state-licensed medical cannabis puts responsible operators on a level playing field under a single regulatory framework. Our Florida team moved quickly and thoroughly to complete registration applications for all 34 locations, and their work is the reason we are among the first operators registered under the new framework.”
“Bringing state-regulated medical cannabis into the federal system is a turning point for the industry and for the patients who rely on it,” Planet 13 co-CEO Larry Scheffler said. “We appreciate the DEA’s work in advancing this change and its continued engagement with state-licensed operators as the framework is implemented.”
