Licensed cannabis retailers in Colorado can now sell cannabis products online.
Gov. Jared Polis signed House Bill 1279 into law on June 2, which strikes language from an existing bill that prohibited the sale of licensed cannabis products online.
Under the legislation, all online orders must be picked up in-store. The individual who purchased the product online must be physically present at the store to take possession of the product and must show a valid form of identification verifying that he or she is at least 21 years old.
According to the legislation, the retailer must also provide customers who purchase products online with digital versions of all warnings or educational materials required by the state to be on the premises.
