The group leading the charge to block the Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act before it hits the November ballot filed a lawsuit against the pro-marijuana campaign.
Arizonans For Responsible Drug Policy, along with two county attorneys and other community leaders allege the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol used misleading information to get petition signatures.
"This initiative is so far reaching, so self-contradicting, and so misleading it cannot possibly or accurately be summarized by its title and text and, indeed, it is not," Seth Leibsohn, ARDP chair said. "This lawsuit highlights the wide-ranging impacts the RTMA would impose on everything from law enforcement to education to landlord/tenant law to employment law to family law."
The group also claims the CRMLA doesn't have money to launch the program and would rob the medical marijuana fund.
