FAIRBANKS—The first cannabis testing facility is expected to open in Interior Alaska in about a month after the marijuana control board approved its license Thursday.
Fairbanks Analytical Testing has been under development since last year, according to owners Dylanne Macomber and Ronald Eads.
“I feel incredible. It’s been an uphill battle all the way,” Macomber said following the marijuana board's 4-1 vote at a meeting at the Noel Wien Public Library in Fairbanks.
Once the facility opens, it will join two other testing laboratories operating in Alaska. CannTest and Steep Hill are both based in Anchorage.
