FRANKFORT, Ky. — State Sen. Stephen West will join a bipartisan group of 42 House of Representative members by introducing medicinal marijuana legislation in the Kentucky Senate Tuesday.
The bill, similar to HB136, would provide legal access to medicinal marijuana for those suffering from diseases like seizures, cancer, multiple sclerosis, those with chronic pain like that of a spinal cord injury or veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
This would align the commonwealth with 33 other states that have granted their constituents the choice to use medicinal marijuana as an alternative to prescribed pharmaceuticals.
