James Tao, one of the co-founders of Houston Health Ventures, will explore the potential of establishing a marijuana-specific fund at the inaugural Marijuana Investment Conferences event Oct. 5-6.
Tao said not only will he be assessing investor turn-out and interest, but will also explore the potential of a partnership with title sponsor Boston-based Dutchess Capital Management due to its expertise in marijuana startups. Tao will also seek to establish a connection with ArcView, a San-Francisco based cannabis investment and research firm, which plans to send a speaker to the conference.
