Cannabis Grower Aphria Updates Status of Phases 3 and 4 for Expansion

Weekly crop harvests at the new phase is now 10,000 plants.


LEAMINGTON, ONT. — Medical cannabis grower Aphria Inc. has announced completion of its part three expansion project at its Leamington, Ont., plant with part four expansion also progressing well.

A statement released April 5 noted Health Canada had given approval to the part three expansion and that the phase is now growing at full capacity with the first harvest expected to take place the last week of April. Weekly crop harvests at the new phase is now 10,000 plants.

The statement said the part three expansion added 200,000 square feet of production space and more than tripled Aphria’s production capacity from 9,000 kilograms annually to 30,000 kilograms annually. The original growing space was 100,000 square feet.
