PHOENIX (January 8, 2018) – Arizona medical marijuana patients can now access Wana Brands as the company's popular gummies hit shelves at dispensaries, such as the MüV by AltMed dispensary in Phoenix. Wana gummie flavors now available in Arizona include mango (Sativa), watermelon (Indica), blueberry (1:1/CBD:THC) and Strawberry (10:1/CBD:THC), according to a press release.
“Wana Brands has developed an amazing line up of artisan, made-from-scratch edibles that have been built on professionalism, consistency, quality and innovation, and we look forward to sharing them with Arizona medical marijuana patients,” commented Nancy Whiteman, co-owner, Wana Brands, in the release. “We have invested in refining our recipes so that the taste of our products come through, not the taste of medicine, and consumers know they can count on our consistency.”
The market for cannabis edibles has risen annually since Arizona legalized medical cannabis in 2010, with the medical market projected to hit $681 million by 2020, and edibles continue to be a popular item with patients.
Wana Brands leads the edibles market in the United States, owning 20 percent of the highly competitive Colorado market, according to a BDS Analytics October 2017 report. The products are available in 85 percent of Oregon dispensaries and 75 percent of Nevada dispensaries, with Arizona coming online this month. Wana Brands is projecting expansion into Illinois, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and California, as well as internationally in Canada, in the coming year.
