Mission Dispensaries Expands Reach with New Maryland Locations

The education-based medical cannabis dispensary is growing its presence in Maryland with the opening of three new locations in Rockville, Hampden and Catonsville.

Chicago, IL (September 17, 2019) – PRESS RELEASE – Mission Dispensaries is expanding its presence in Maryland with new dispensaries in Rockville, Catonsville and Hampden. Mission has created a unique shopping experience for its patients and plans to celebrate these openings with Grand Opening and Open House events throughout this month.

“Mission operates on a standard that patients will be treated with respect and dignity and has redesigned the shopping experience to create spaces where this can occur,” said Glenn Backus, Mission Dispensaries' president. “We are excited to expand our presence in Maryland and hope each location will take this idea and continue to bring integrity to the world of cannabis at a local level.”

The following events are planned for September:

  • A Grand Opening celebration at Mission Rockville will occur Sunday, Sept. 22, from 12-6 p.m. Highlights include first-time patient discounts, Leisure World resident discounts and additional in-store promotions and sales. All first-time patients will receive 20 percent off their first order and Leisure World Cannabis Club members will receive 15 percent off their orders. The Rockville location is a result of a licensing agreement between Mission and Maryland Alternative Relief, Inc.
  • An Open House will be held at Mission Catonsville on Friday, Sept. 27, giving patrons the opportunity to tour the new store, discuss product offerings and learn how the education-based dispensary is making the cannabis space more inviting.
  • A Grand Opening event at Mission Hampden will occur Sunday, Sept. 29, at local antique store, Wishbone, located within walking distance from the Mission storefront. Everyone is encouraged to support both businesses and enjoy refreshments at Wishbone before or after touring the new Mission location. The Hampden location is a result of a licensing agreement between Mission and Chesapeake Integrated Health Institute, a state-licensed medical cannabis dispensary.

Mission opened its first Maryland dispensary in the Glenmont neighborhood of Silver Spring in October 2018 as a result of a licensing relationship with Premium Medicine of Maryland, a state-licensed medical cannabis dispensary.

Mission understands that lack of information regarding cannabis and dispensaries is a big issue and works to educate patients on the process of registering as a patient to what to expect when visiting a Mission dispensary to how to evaluate the myriad choices, so patients can decide what works best for them. Mission’s supportive, no-judgements space allows its patients to come and connect with one another on a genuine and relaxed level.
