Verilife Opens Its Doors to Maryland's Cannabis Patients

The Rockville-area dispensary will provide patient-centric, holistic care.

Oak Park, Ill. – (August 31, 2018) – PRESS RELEASE – Patients in the Rockville, Maryland area battling debilitating conditions like cancer, opioid addiction and chronic pain can now opt for care from a medical cannabis provider.

Owned and operated by national vertically integrated cannabis provider PharmaCann, Verilife will begin serving customers in Montgomery County and across the state on Sept. 7. The new dispensary features an open-concept design, private patient consultation rooms and services including dedicated patient care representatives and fast-track ordering. Delivery will be available in the weeks ahead.

To give patients the widest possible product variety, Verilife will carry every form of cannabis currently on the market in Maryland from more than 10 different brands.

“The main focus in bringing this new dispensary model to Montgomery County has always been meeting the needs of Maryland’s entire patient population,” said Jeremy Hines, general manager of the new Verilife dispensary. “Whether it’s oral capsules for the senior citizen with cancer, or CBD lotions for the teen with multiple sclerosis, we want to ensure our patients are empowered to find what works to meaningfully improve their lives.”

Guests will be able to view the patient dispensing area from the dispensary’s reception area, regardless of whether or not they hold a Medical Marijuana Card. The dispensary—enclosed on three sides by clear glass windows—is a welcoming environment for patients, caregivers and people considering medical cannabis. Measures taken to increase this dispensary’s visibility and offer patients a more accessible space, show Verilife’s commitment to improving and normalizing the medical cannabis patient experience.

“Our new Verilife dispensaries are really a reflection of the growing public acceptance we’ve seen for cannabis as a legitimate option to improve people’s lives,” said Teddy Scott, PhD, chief executive officer of PharmaCann. “Patients can tailor the experience to fit their needs. If they desire to speak to a pharmacist, we will coordinate a phone consultation with a Verilife pharmacist. If they need a quicker express checkout, they can have that, too.”

From the Latin root veri, meaning “truth,” Verilife reflects PharmaCann’s commitment to be truthful and transparent in everything it does to improve people's well-being and help them live their best lives.

Verilife recently opened its doors to give public officials and state legislators an opportunity to preview the dispensary and learn more about the medical cannabis industry.

“I appreciated the opportunity to visit PharmaCann’s Verilife dispensary and learn first-hand about the level of care patients will receive,” said Delegate Jeff Waldstreicher. “Their staff is very knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated to working with the community.”

Rooted in the communities it serves, PharmaCann gives back as part of its “pay it forward promise,” donating 5 percent of monthly sales to a local charity. Each quarter, patients can help select the next local charities the company will support.

“It’s evident that PharmaCann’s Verilife dispensary is driven by a knowledgeable staff and a combination of care, compassion and science to best serve Maryland’s patients seeking to feel better,” said Green Health Docs’ Maryland Office Manager Kerrin Wuchter. “We're proud to have PharmaCann, which brings experience and best practices from successful operations across multiple states, serving our residents.”

Verilife is hosting a grand opening celebration throughout the weekend of Sept. 14 with providers, cultivators, processors, music, refreshments and a glass-blowing demonstration. In addition, there will be opening specials and giveaways.
