Missouri medical cannabis dispensaries are now rolling out cannabis home delivery, creating easier access for patients.

Now, while at home, Missouri medical cannabis patients can get medicine delivered right to their door, a Kansas City news outlet reported.

The news outlet caught up with Zack Owens, the regional manager of BesaMe Wellness, a cannabis company with five operational locations in Missouri and four underway.

According to the news outlet, BesaMe Wellness was one of the first dispensaries in Missouri to implement cannabis delivery. Owens said that having a delivery service provides access to patients that didn't have it before due to lack of transportation.

And Mary Ann Denzer, co-owner and chief operating officer at Riverside Wellness, a Missouri-based medical cannabis company, said delivery is also essential for patients who work from home or for those who are disabled and home-bound.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services regulates the cannabis delivery process, according to the news outlet, and to register for delivery, patients must link a medical card and a payment method.

Although BesaMe Wellness was one of the first to implement cannabis delivery, the news outlet reported that industry experts said delivery is likely to expand throughout the state quickly.

"We're thrilled to provide a more convenient way for anyone to access safe, legal, high-quality cannabis," Denzer said.
