At about this time last year, we were fine-tuning the launch issue of Cannabis Dispensary. It’s been quite a year, to say the least.
We launched this magazine to fill a dire need in the market—a need for sound business information to aid you in your efforts to operate successful dispensaries in heavily regulated, ever-changing and still federally illegal markets. To this day, it remains the only print magazine that serves cannabis dispensaries exclusively.
As we prepare for our second year of publication, we conducted a reader survey to discover your thoughts about the magazine’s coverage—what you find most valuable, what you would like to see more of, as well as what we could be doing better. Thank you for providing your feedback; it helps guide us in creating articles that address topics most relevant to your businesses.
The majority of you said you were “very satisfied” with Cannabis Dispensary as source for information on dispensary operations and business/financial insights, and we appreciate the many positive comments we received. While the positive comments are extremely affirming of our work, your insights into challenges you continue to face will help us tailor our coverage throughout our second year.
Whether those challenges are legal in nature, or financial, or have to do with operations, licensing or other startup issues, supply chain management, product diversion, staffing (and the high turnover the industry is experiencing), or concern for what the future of this industry will look like in five to 10 years, we will remain dedicated to addressing them and helping you navigate this unique market.
In 2019, we will be expanding our coverage beyond print and digital when Cannabis Dispensary goes live at the Cannabis Conference (CannabisConference.com), April 1-3, in Las Vegas. We’ll discuss major issues as an industry, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn from, and talk with, your industry peers and other experts, as well as with vendors that provide solutions to help you advance your dispensary, from point-of-sale software to inventory tracking, merchandising, security solutions and more.
We look forward to meeting many of you in Las Vegas in April, and thank you again for your feedback as we approach our second year in print. Your feedback is always welcome, and you don’t need to wait for another reader survey to share it. We’d love to hear from you.
