Isolated in a mountainous region of Northern California, Tamara Kislak spends her days cultivating craft cannabis on a ridge overlooking the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County.
Her off-grid, solar-powered family farm is just above the fog line, where she swears the 2,200-foot elevation provides glimpses of the Pacific coastline 15 miles away on clear, sunny days. Her sun-grown plants share the same views from various terraces scattered throughout the 300-acre property of steep, undeveloped forests.
