Rapper Snoop Dogg's Casa Verde Capital is among the investors in a marijuana delivery app called Eaze, according to a report on Quartz.com. The fundraising round raised $10 million for the app, according to Quartz.
His investment in the industry is not a big surprise: In February, reports circulated of Snoop Dogg's creation of a fund to invest in marijuana businesses. He also designed a line of Double G Series vaporizer pens by Grenco Science.
Eaze is being described as being similar to an "Uber for weed."Â Users can review a menu of medical marijuana offered by Eaze's partners and gets their delivery in about 20 minutes, according to Eaze's website. The company's website also states that Eaze abides by all medical marijuana state laws and conducts background checks on all drivers.
Visitors to Eaze's website can enter their zip code to determine if the company services their respective areas.
Eaze also suggests that it can help build legal marijuana dispensaries' businesses. "Eaze handles the end-to-end process from patient verification, to ordering, delivery logistics and customer service so you can generate more revenue with less work," its website states.
Snoop Dogg has been vocal about his support for marijuana, and according to various reports, he has medical marijuana prescription in California and has been arrested for marijuana possession.
