Companies headed by Big Island farmer Richard Ha and Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers co-founder Justin Britt are among the eight firms named Friday as Hawaii’s first medical marijuana dispensary licensees.
The Hawaii state Department of Health revealed the eight entities that will be permitted to grow and sell medical marijuana at its headquarters shortly before noon, despite a last-minute attempt to stop the announcement.
The eight licensees are:
City and County of Honolulu: Thomas Wong of Aloha Green Holdings Inc., Tan Yan Chen of TCG Retro Market 1, LLC dba Cure Oahu, and Brian Goldstein of Manoa Botanicals LLC.
Big Island: Shelby Floyd of Hawaiian Ethos LLC and Richard Ha of Lau Ola LLC were awarded licenses
Maui County: Gregory Park of Maui Wellness Group LLC and William Mitchell Jr. of Pono Life Sciences Maui LLC
Kauai County: Justin Britt of Green Aloha Ltd.
