Three days after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation repealing a ban on smokable medical marijuana, the first smokable product in the state has officially been sold.
Trulieve said it sold the first smokable medical marijuana on Thursday at its Tallahassee dispensary. Douglas Dixon was the first patient to purchase the smokable product. By using cannabis, Dixon has been able to wean off roughly 15 prescriptions, according to Trulieve.
Trulieve received its approval from the Florida Department of Health to begin selling full flower on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson.
