OKLAHOMA CITY — A co-chairman of the medical marijuana legislative working group said Wednesday that he is working with cannabis advocates and other lawmakers on language to expand regulation of State Question 788.
House
Majority Floor Leader Jon Echols, R-Oklahoma City, said he has begun creating a
bill that would be “kind of in between” two draft sets of regulations the
committee received earlier this month from pro-medical marijuana advocates.
“I think it’s time to start working on some language,” he said in an interview with the Tulsa World. “Would I loved to have had it done by now? Absolutely, I would have loved it. But I’m more concerned about getting it done right than I am about getting it done right now.”
