Medical Cannabis 'Drops' Pulled From Ohio Store Shelves, Refund Offered for Some Products

Patients reported finding dark-colored debris in two bottles of the liquid product that had production dates in April and May.

An Ohio medical marijuana company has issued a voluntary recall for its THC-infused water-soluble drops after reports the product was contaminated.

Standard Wellness, based in Gibsonburg, told 15 dispensaries to stop selling all packages of "The Standard Drops" on Saturday. The company is offering a full refund to patients who haveany amount of unused product manufactured before July 3.

Late Friday, patients reported finding dark-colored debris in two bottles of the liquid product that had production dates in April and May.

The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program is issuing a patient communication to alert patients about a voluntary medical marijuana product recall initiated by Standard Wellness. This recall was initiated due to patient reports submitted to the manufacturer.
