Aug. 6, 2019 – CLEVELAND, Ohio – GIE Media, the parent company of Cannabis Business Times, Cannabis Dispensary and Cannabis Conference, is pleased to announce that Jonathan Katz has been named managing editor.
Katz comes to the cannabis group with nearly two decades of experience as a professional writer, editor and journalist. He previously served as managing editor for IndustryWeek, as well as a client services manager/project manager for New Jersey-based Content4Demand. Katz also served as associate editor for Lawn & Landscape, another title in GIE Media’s horticulture group.
Most recently, Katz worked as a Cleveland-area freelance writer and editor through his own firm, JSK Communications LLC. In this role, Katz provided business-to-business (B2B) writing, editing and project management services for publishing and content marketing firms, as well as individual businesses.

Katz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Kent State University. He previously contributed to Cannabis Business Times as a freelance writer and is looking forward to further applying his extensive B2B and editing background to GIE Media’s Cannabis Group.
