The head of the state's medical marijuana commission said Tuesday the panel has not ruled out further delay to the program to ensure racial diversity among cannabis business owners.
"Nothing is off the table," Maryland Cannabis Commission Chairman Paul Davies said after meeting with Attorney General Brian Frosh Tuesday afternoon.
Davies and Frosh met to discuss ways to legally increase how many minority applicants receive licenses to launch the state's medical cannabis industry. The commission has been under criticism after awarding 15 growing licenses and 15 processor licenses last month without regard to whether minority applicants were among the winners.
