If marijuana becomes legal for adults to use in Delaware, it would not be allowed to be packaged to look like candy. Cartoon labels on the packaging also would be prohibited.
Ten percent of tax revenues would also be directed to the Department of Safety and Homeland Security for enforcement efforts and programs to detect and prevent drugged driving.
These and other provisions are part of an amendment filed Tuesday to House Bill 110, which was proposed last summer and has undergone extensive review, including eight meetings held by the Adult Use Cannabis Task Force.
"The Adult Use Cannabis Task force brought together a variety of stakeholders and has compiled thoughtful and diverse information that would improve House Bill 110," State Representative Helene Keeley, D- 3rd, said.
